About Me

Hello. I’m Heather Kavanagh. I was born in the mid-1960s in Guildford, Surrey. My first proper job after leaving education was with a civil engineering firm based in Epsom, Surrey. In 1987 I moved to Kent, where I have lived ever since.

Imagic Design began in 1988, as a means to earn some cash whilst between “proper” jobs. Eventually, I was able to become a self-employed freelance designer and artworker in 2001.

My wide experience covers the traditional “ink-on-paper” skills associated with technical illustration and paste-up, as well as the arcana of the print industry, and embraces many new technologies associated with print and web design.

In the past few years, thanks to affordable digital SLR cameras, I have also rediscovered a love for photography.
